About

On this episode of Enjoying Everyday Life, Joyce Meyer talks about how to live a healthy life that includes our spirit, soul, and body. She believes that God cares about every part of our lives, not just our spiritual side. Joyce explains that our emotions and mental health can greatly affect our physical health, reflecting Jesus’s promise of living a full and abundant life.

‘God sees the end from the beginning,’ says Joyce, ‘and everything that He does comes as a seed.  As you water it with the word, it just gets so exciting. And then the sun shines on you, and pretty soon, people say, I can see it. And we want people to see God working through us.’

Joyce encourages everyone to build a strong relationship with God and to avoid being complacent or settling for a lukewarm faith. God doesn’t expect us to be perfect; He appreciates our genuine efforts to seek Him. Joyce believes that God often asks us to let go of things that keep us from truly knowing Him. What we think we need can sometimes bring us more misery.

God Cares About Every Part of Our Lives

‘God’s nature comes to dwell in us,’ says Joyce. ‘We get a new heart. We just cannot keep doing ungodly things. And it’s not even because it’s wrong and God doesn’t want us to do it. We just can’t do it because it’s not our nature to keep doing it anymore.’

Joyce explains that dedicating our lives to God is like becoming a living sacrifice, as described in the Bible. 1 John 3:9, teaches us that those born of God cannot continue in sin because God transforms their desires. Feeling discontent when we sin indicates an inner conflict.

‘The anointing is in you,’ says Joyce. ‘The presence of God is in you. His power is in you. You’ve got what it takes to live an amazing life and to do amazing things.’

‘God is working in you and changing you from glory to glory.’

A New Life of Giving and Sacrifice

Many people who call themselves Christians are not, in fact, living the life of victory that Jesus came to give them. Somehow, the promise of victory just isn’t happening in their lives. Something has to change.
