About

Fred Nile’s Christian Democratic Party has officially ceased to exist, but he’s already prepared plans to form a new political party.

The CDP’s founder and 40-year MP in the New South Wales parliament confirmed the CDP was no longer.

Eternity News reports frantic last minute negotiations behind the scenes failed to stop a court order to wind it up.

Reverend Nile released a statement thanking “all those who tried so hard to bring unity to the party.”

He said key governance issues as well as the character and intentions of CDP members and supporters, have been misunderstood.

He unreservedly apologised and pledged it’s not the end, but a new beginning.

Reverend Nile announced that he and his team have registered a new political party to be known as Christ in Government (Fred Nile Alliance).

He says Christians must be involved in politics to resist growing secularism.
