Amy Brown’s father was an agnostic gastroenterologist who was once given a book voucher.
When he couldn’t find a book he liked, he bought a Bible.
He read it and led the rest of the family to the Lord at the same time.
Amy is now one of the most powerful women in New South Wales, as Secretary of the recently formed Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment with 6000 employees.
She models her management style on Jesus, both at work and at home where she has children to raise in the faith.
Amy told Eternity News that underlines her need to be a relationship-orientated leader, rather than a task-orientated one.
She believes God has been instrumental in using that teaching, to put her in a leadership position.
She says once she’s made a decision, she just needs to sit back, pray and hand it over to God.
Amy trusts that: “If He wants an outcome, that is what the outcome will be, even if it’s not comfortable for me.”
