It’s just recently been revealed that CIA documents that were declassified in 2002 exposed how the agency tried to use ‘psychic spies’ to locate the Biblical Ark of the Covenant — one of the most sacred and mysterious relics in human history.
The Bible indicates it was built by the Israelites in the 13th century B.C. to house the stone tablets inscribed with the 10 Commandments.
The Ark resided in the Temple in Jerusalem until vanishing during the Babylonian conquest in 586 B.C.
It’s never been seen in public since.
The CIA claimed to have confirmed the existence of the Ark by way of ‘remote viewing’ which is also known as extra sensory perception or ESP.
HOW THE SECRET PROJECT TO TRACK DOWN THE ARK WAS CARRIED OUT
The Jerusalem Post reports the secret project was known as Sun Streak — a Cold War-era experiment in “remote viewing” that allowed individuals to see distant locations using only their minds.
The declassified documents revealed that on December 5, 1988, a remote viewer was tasked with identifying a target that, unbeknownst to them, was the Ark of the Covenant.
According to The New York Post, Remote Viewer #32 is recorded in the documents as saying: “The target is a container. The container contains another container inside it.”
The viewer went on to describe the object as wooden, gilded with gold and silver and adorned with six-winged angelic figures, similar to the biblical Ark.
The viewer even noted that it was hidden in a “subterranean, dark and wet” place.
CIA DOCUMENTS DETAIL WHAT A PSYCHIC DISCERNED ABOUT THE ARK
The declassified documents detail how Remote Viewer #32 perceived supernatural protection over the Ark, warning that anyone who tried to access it improperly would be “destroyed by the protectors of the container by a force unknown to us.”
The viewer described Arabic-speaking individuals in white garments and visual impressions of mosque domes near the hidden location.
A report by Insider Paper suggests the priceless artefact could still be somewhere in the Middle East, perhaps beneath a modern-day mosque.
According to Metro, the documents include details of how the viewer also claimed that the purpose of the Ark was “to bring people together” and tied it to themes like “ceremony, memory, homage, the Resurrection,” and “historical knowledge far beyond what we now know.”
2,500 YEAR UNSOLVED MYSTERY OVER WHAT HAPPENED TO THE ARK
Over the centuries, countless theories have emerged over what may have happened to the Ark.
Some claim it was smuggled to Ethiopia and rests there today in a northern church.
Others point to various secret locations across Africa and the Middle East.
The declassified CIA documents also include some bizarre and fascinating sketches.
There is a seraph or angel, a line of mummified bodies and a domed mosque — all created by the remote viewer.
‘PSYCHIC’ EXPERT SAYS THE CIA ‘EXPERIMENT’ ACHIEVED NOTHING
The man who’s arguably the world’s foremost expert in remote viewing is not convinced these revelations mean anything.
Retired US Army Chief Warrant Joe McMoneagle was Remote Viewer #1 — the very first person to carry out psychic phenomena experiments for the CIA.
“Using remote viewing against any target for which ground truth does not exist or is impossible to obtain, such as UFOs, UAPs, the surface of Mars, or the locations of historical relics, is a waste of time and resources,” he told The New York Post.
“If someone claims that remote viewing proves the existence of something, such as the Ark of the Covenant, they must produce the Ark to substantiate their claim,” he asserted.
The declassified documents also revealed the CIA secretly searched for the resting place of Noah’s Ark near Mount Ararat in Turkey from 1974 to 1982 using satellite images and spy planes.
It’s unclear whether it found sufficient evidence to confirm that location.
