About

Christian singer Jeremy Camp is reported to be recovering so well after undergoing surgery to correct a serious heart condition that he’s set to be back on stage in a week. That’s according to his latest social media post where he indicates that doctors have cleared him to play and commence his The Theater Tour. “Super Thankful,” he wrote.

Earlier, his wife Adrienne posted that the operation was a success “although it will take a few months to fully heal.” She thanked other Christian artists and fans around the world for their prayers, saying: “We are beyond grateful for how you guys have cared for us in prayer. Also, so grateful for an incredible [doctor] and staff.”

“He’s resting and has to lay completely flat for a while. He’s enjoying being spoon-fed by me. Lol!” she added while quoting from Psalm 73 that: God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

The singer underwent surgery on Monday to treat atrial fibrillation which causes an irregular heart rhythm that often beats rapidly, leading to symptoms like difficulty in breathing. The operation sought to restore a normal heartbeat. Prior to the procedure he admitted: “My heart is in a crazy rhythm and it was affecting a lot of things. It beats really, really fast. And it’s hard to breathe. It’s hard to function.”

It’s just over three months since Jeremy Camp’s I Still Believe tour of Australia. A movie of the same name told his life story including the loss of his first wife Melissa to cancer.
