Pastor Vic Carpenter is also an FBI agent.
The married father of four boys started off working in youth ministry.
But his church was dying and he couldn’t save it.
He struggled to find another job as a pastor and in desperation secretly applied to join the FBI.
Suddenly, Vic had a successful new career with the agency’s Hostage Rescue Team, but he feared his pastoral life was over.
However, he found many of his colleagues were Christians with a unique opportunity to preach the Gospel.
They formed a Bible study group and then a church.
Faithwire reports Vic is now a teaching pastor at a church in Virginia where his agency co-workers come to hear him.
Many also find Christ.
Vic says after running Bible studies at the FBI that foundation of discipleship became the foundation of his church.
