Hillsong Church has named an Australian couple as the new lead pastors for its New York campus.
Chrishan and Danielle Jeyaratnam, who have been leading Hillsong Perth, will move to the US to take on the role.
The pair have been long time attendees of Hillsong, serving in a variety of roles and locations.
Hillsong Global senior pastor Brian Houston made the announcement in a video message, declaring the vision for the church going forward
Pastor Houston said it had been a rigorous process to select the new leaders after a tumultous past few years.
He admitted that the East Coast campus had not always been a “caring and healthy environment” under the previous leadership.
However, he was counting on God to “rescue, rebuild, and restore” and the appointment of new leadership was the first step in that process.
