Tens of thousands of people have attended a two-day Christian festival in North Carolina with a focus on evangelism and the single aim of “lifting up and glorifying Jesus Christ.” Hundreds of those who attended made decisions to “surrender their lives” to Him with more than 70 people being immediately baptised.
FaithFestNC 2024 was held in Wilkesboro, a country town in the northwest of the state. It was the seventh annual event organised by Craig Church Ministries whose website says it: “uses worship music (in a variety of genres) and the Word of God (via testimonies and the preached Word) to unite believers, save the lost, bring a community together, and spark a revival that will change our area and beyond.”
After last weekend’s event, founder Pastor Craig Church shared online that: “I can’t even put into words what the Lord has done this weekend. Everybody is celebrating what the Lord has done.”
The line-up was impressive with preachers like legendary evangelist Franklin Graham and fellow North Carolinian Clayton King, pastor and founder of Crossroads Ministries. Christian artists were from the top shelf including Rend Collective, We The Kingdom, We Are Messengers, Riley Clemons, Tasha Layton and Matthew West.
After preaching to a crowd of 30,000 people, Pastor King proclaimed: “I’ve never seen so many people so hungry and desperate for God in my life. I think we’re in the midst of a spiritual awakening. The world doesn’t see it. But I’m witnessing it.”
He told CBN News that FaithFest is a unique Christian music festival because its focus is on bringing souls into the Kingdom. “I’ve preached at dozens of Christian music festivals over the past 37 years, but what sets FaithFest apart is their focus on evangelism. They prioritised the proclamation of the Gospel and as a result, we saw hundreds and hundreds of decisions for Christ.”
Franklin Graham shared a powerful salvation message on the importance of spending eternity with Jesus. “I’m thankful that many responded to the invitation to repent of their sins and surrender their lives to Christ. All glory to Him. I told the crowd that no matter how much they own, nothing has more value than their soul. The Bible tells us, “For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?” (Mark 8:36),” he posted on social media.
Those who attended shared: “God moved in a mighty way.” “It was amazing watching the Lord work.” “I saw whole families get baptised.”The whole weekend was filled with the Holy Spirit.”
Pastor Craig Church rejoiced: “It’s Jesus. No man can get the credit for this. I knew God was going to do something great this year spiritually, and we saw hundreds saved, we saw many baptised, and we saw many great things and I think we will continue to see that.”
