Des Kennedy didn’t grow up thinking he’d one day be sharing Jesus with men all over the world. But that’s exactly what’s happening today. Because Vision helps people find purpose in Jesus, right where they are.
“I was 58 when I became a Christian,” Des shared during Visionathon. “I was successful in the corporate world. I had the car, the wine, the lifestyle. But I felt empty. There was no joy.”

Des was sitting in the back of his cruiser, drinking red wine and smoking a cigar, when it hit him. “You’ve got all this stuff, but you’ve got nothing.”
Later, a chance meeting with a Christian woman in Alice Springs helped lead him to faith. “She lived out her faith. I saw something in her. And not long after that, on the side of the Stuart Highway just south of Katherine, I pulled into a rest stop and asked God to save me. And He did.”
Today, Des leads Momentum, a ministry for men that reaches across Australia and beyond through Vision’s radio, podcast and app platforms.
“We talk about real things,” he said. “Pornography. Mental health. Family breakdown. We go deep. And so many wives listen and say, ‘Now I understand my husband.’”
Des shared how his life has changed. “People think becoming a Christian is boring. That’s a lie. Since I gave my life to Jesus, it’s been full-on. I’ve got purpose. I get to help men every day.”
