In many regional areas, people often feel alone and cut off from others. Without regular support, it’s easy to feel disconnected. But Vision Radio is making a difference in these towns, sharing a message of hope.
Max and Sarah from Charters Towers joined us on Visionathon this morning to talk about how Vision has impacted their community. Their town has around six boarding schools, attracting people from all over the country and increasing the population. They feel blessed to have a strong education system that employs over 200 teachers and reaches people worldwide.
‘Vision feels like family,’ says Sarah. ‘It’s a familiar voice. You guys are encouraging and speak words of life and truth. It brings hope and a Biblical perspective because things can get very discouraging.’ Max adds, ‘The radio connects us all, sharing snippets of our lives and keeping everything real.’
Inspired to share faith
Through Vision, Max and Sarah have felt inspired to share their faith. ‘We go out twice a month to share the Gospel, and nearly half respond and pray,’ Max says. Sarah continues, ‘We look for opportunities to follow up and disciple people. We’ve always got The Word For Today and V180 on us to share as well. So that’s really great and we tell people about Vision Radio when we can.’
Advancing the Gospel together has brought Max and Sarah’s community closer together and inspired them to share God’s love and truth with many others. ‘We wouldn’t be doing that if we hadn’t had Vision Radio.’
