Brisbane 1620AM

Vision Christian Radio’s Brisbane AM frequency has changed to 1620AM

Our old frequency (1053AM) ceased broadcasting on 31 August 2020. To keep listening you need to move to 1620AM, our free app or one of our suburban FM services noted below.

Why the change? Vision has been on air in the Brisbane area for more than two decades, for most of that time via a network of low power FM services. In 2018 we had the unexpected opportunity to expand our Brisbane coverage to include 1053AM, through leasing this frequency from another party, and what a blessing this has been. Unfortunately, last year 1053AM was sold to another party who gave notice they would be exercising a right to terminate our agreement. As you can imagine this news was quite distressing, and we took it to prayer.

Praise God, we have been successful in securing access to another frequency. From early July 2020 onward, Vision will be heard 1620AM (with 1053AM also remaining on-air until the end of August).

Our ultimate desire is to have a city wide FM frequency that we own. These are very hard to secure, but we continue to pray, and in the meantime we thank God to every opportunity He gives.

This is another way you can listen to us. Being FM the quality of sound is far superior to AM, however they are low power so the range of each is limited to about 5km from each transmitter. See full listing at the bottom of this page.
