Ever had one of those stuffed toys where you squeeze the paw and it barks, moos or whatever – depends on the animal I guess 🙂 Anyway, one that says "Jesus says no!" might be a real asset with our daily decision making. The only way we are going to ‘Put all evil things out of our lives’ is by saying, ‘Jesus says no!’ and making good choices that let nothing evil into our lives. And if anything is in there already or sneaks in through a window, ‘put these things out of your life.’ (Colossians 3:8 NCV)
The best way to keep bad things out of your life is by filling your life up with good things. Here are four good things the Bible teaches us to do to start us off: (1) stop craving things you don’t need. Instead enjoy what you’ve got (2) if you’re not giving generously to God’s work, start now! Make a habit of giving away a percentage of whatever comes your way. ‘Give freely and become more wealthy; be stingy and lose everything.’ (Proverbs 11:24-25 NLT) Yes, even give a bit of your pocket money-even 50c of that five bucks from your Nana! (3) trust God completely, with everything. God guarantees to ‘supply all your needs.’ (Philippians 4:19 NLT)
Go ahead, do it! Obey God, be patient, and watch what happens.
