Why does a media organisation like Vision run tours?
Visiting the Holy Land, or going on a missions trip can be a life-enriching and life-changing experience. Our vision is to bring Australians closer to God in their daily walk, and so we hope that offering them the chance to go on a tour like this can give them a real sense of what God has done in the past and what He is doing today. People who come on our tours to the Holy Land consistently tell us that it was a life-changing experience that has brought the Bible to life!
Where can I find out more information about Vision Tours to Israel?
Vision Christian Tour packages typically cover most of your costs, including airfares, taxes, accommodation, morning and evening meals, sightseeing tours, transport and some special items. It won't cover things like beverages with meals, single supplements, costs outside the itinerary, travel insurance and so on.
What about passports and documentation?
When traveling overseas you need to make sure you have at least 6 months validity on your passport from return date into Australia or you may be refused entry into the country you're visiting. If you're not travelling on an Australian passport, you may need a re-entry visa to Australia - our travel experts, Olive Tree Travel, can advise you on that. You must tell us your name as it appears on your passport, otherwise you might not be allowed on the plane. If visas are required, it's your responsibility to get them but Olive Tree can help you with this. This website can help you work out if you need a visa. Generally, Australian and New Zealand citizens do not need a visa to visit Israel, but you should confirm this on the website link above.
Do I have to pay the whole cost of a tour at once?
Typically your tour costs must be paid two months before departure, but you can begin with a deposit.
What future tours do you have planned?
For the moment, Vision Christian Tours is focused on connecting Christians with the historic land of their faith, Israel. However, our hope is to expand this to include mission trips which will give people a chance to contribute to Christian media projects where Vision is already active across the Asia-Pacific region, helping local churches. If you're interested contact us and we'll let you know when more details are available.
