On the way we will stop for a break in Syracuse and have some free time to walk around historic Clinton Square to enjoy its beautiful architecture from the 19th & early 20th centuries. To help these Catholics take their place in the USA it was felt they needed a great cathedral of which they could be proud and in 1976 this neo-gothic building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Ten years later it hosted the first-ever service of forgiveness between Catholics and Jews on Palm Sunday, an event commemorated by a sculpture outside the building.

This morning, we travel to historic Boston, for all intents and purposes, the oldest city in United States of America. Upon arriving in Boston, we visit King’s Chapel for a special music recital. In 1742 Faneuil Hall was proclaimed “The Cradle of Liberty” for its role in the early days of the American Revolution. Today the surrounding cobblestone promenades are filled not with political orators but rather local musicians and world-renowned
street performers.
