What an incredible outpouring of love!

Last year, Vision and Bible League held a special appeal to raise enough money to put the Word of God into the hands of 5000 prisoners in Aussie correctional centres. But wow! We raised enough to send packages to over 7104 inmates (and still counting!)

Thank you for your generosity, grace and compassion!

Thank you for caring enough to give a prisoner a Bibe and a year's supply of The Word for Today!

About the Prison Bible

Prison BibleThe Prison Bible is published by Bible League, and was developed in conjunction with prison ministries. The Prison Bible presents Scripture and life lessons to inmates in a way that is easy to understand and written especially for those behind bars.

An integral part of The Prison Bible is 52 lessons that teach about topics such as God Loves You, Following Jesus Inside of Prison, Relating to People in Authority, Controlling Anger, Preparing for Release, and so much more. It provides the inmate with other features such as a goal setting chart, Scripture references to help deal with negative emotions, and an address book for family and friends.

Co-Author and Bible League International Global Publisher John Andersen comments, "We made The Prison Bible specifically for prisoners. It is a tool which cannot only be used by prison ministries on a global scale, but by prisoners at whatever spiritual stage they find themselves in. We believe God will raise leaders from among the imprisoned population who will use The Prison Bible to disciple many in an unprecedented way."

The Prison Bible talks a prisoner's language, helping them see that there is a Loving God Who Cares.

If you're a chaplain and want to know how you can get involved or get copies of the Prisoners Bible, contact Bible League.

Testimonies:

From a prison chaplain in NSW: From day one I have been telling the guys that if they were prepared to attend Chapel, come to Bible Studies and read The Word for Today that God would definitely speak to them in their quiet time with Him. To their amazement He has been doing just that. I order 65 copies per quarter and I am still running out!

SC is in prison in WA: I am now once again at a minimum prison facility and the story of my journey over these past 3 1/2 years has been one of many trials, setbacks, hardships and changes, but thanks to God I have got through these and come out the other end an even better person than I could imagine myself ever being. Along these difficult paths I have been blessed greatly so many times through the guidance and encouragement that I have received through the daily readings of The Word for Today and word4U2day. Thank you so much for sharing with us these great and wonderfully wise and encouraging words from God.
