Jane from Oakden says she finds solace in listening to Vision, because it distracts her from what she’s going through and allows her to focus more on others. She is an avid reader of The Word for Today and loves sharing resources she’s purchased from the Vision Store.
Jeremiah 17:7-8 inspires Jane, and she tries to be generous in her giving to Vision no matter what she’s going through. Despite relocating from SA to QLD and back, Jane feels like Vision is her family, and she is passionate about sharing it with others.
Jane discovered Vision over 20 years ago, and she loves listening to it while she’s driving. ‘It’s a distraction from what has happened in my life,’ she says. ‘I could easily dwell upon all of the regrets. But I love Vision because it helps me focus outwardly. And I’m learning about different ministries.’
Aside from the daily devotions, one of the things Janes love about The Word For Today is reading the new station announcements. ‘Vision has given me so much more of a heart for rural and regional Australia,’ she says. ‘I love the outward focus, and I discipline myself in that too.’
‘I choose to believe that my life still has purpose, and I can still contribute.’
