Greg from Dodges Ferry in Tasmania recently rediscovered his faith with support from friends and family. Greg was introduced to Vision by his best friend, and he only listened for the first time yesterday.

Greg finds himself inspired by the bold faith of others, and he donated to Visionathon today and says he will keep listening. Greg is grateful to have found Vision when he needed it most.

Greg works on a farm, and can relate to sowing seeds and waiting for a harvest. Famers have a unique perspective when it comes to acting in faith. There’s no guarantees in farming, but if you do nothing, you’ll get nothing.

It was a work friend who encouraged Greg to start listening to Vision Radio. ‘I like the Christian music because it’s very uplifting,’ says Greg. ‘We tuned in at work and started listening all day.  And I thought if I’m going to become a regular listener, I will contribute from the get go.’

Greg grew up listening to Christian music, but says he was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the programming and the humour of the presenters. ‘But the thing that inspired me most was the callers calling in, proudly expressing their faith. They talked about a resurgence of Christianity, and that’s what I’m seeing locally.’

According to Greg, he has let his faith lapse, but he believes courage is one of the great lessons of Christianity. ‘Jesus had the courage to do what He did without fear and lead us, and we should honour that same courage. My aunty and my second cousin have been proud and brave Christian women their whole lives. If they’ve got the courage to express it in public and in private, then I need to step up and do the same.’

Greg is now a regular listener to Vision, and he wants to become a regular supporter. ‘The inspiration I get from Vision is just something really special. It’s not just to take action and give money. But I rang my auntie to thank her for inspiring me to keep my faith over the years and express it.’
