The whole Rickard family adores Vision. Mum Bek particularly enjoys it while doing chores at home, and her husband Chris listens during corn-harvesting on his tractor. Their four kids all use internet radios in their bedrooms so they can listen to Vision anytime. They say it lifts their spirits whenever they’re feeling down.
Bek says that they all love listening to Vision because it’s so encouraging. ‘You can be having a really bad day and the kids are fighting or whatever,’ she says, ‘and then you put Vision on and it’s such a blessing. It can really turn things right around.’
It’s important for Bek to be continually sowing seeds into her kid’s lives as well, and she challenges other families to do the same by donating to Visionathon. ‘We’ve all got something we can give,’ she says. ‘Even if it’s just a small amount, do what you can. God will put it on your heart and you’ll know what to do.’
Scripture talks a lot about seed time and harvest, and Bek can relate that back to life on the farm. ‘Looking outside your window and seeing that crop grow knowing the harvest is coming,’ says Bek, ‘is what you are doing with God when you sow a seed into the Kingdom.’
Bek wants to encourage people to sow into Vision, knowing that when the time is right we will see a harvest. ‘The evidence of it is outside your kitchen window,’ she says. ‘How cool is that?’
We never tire of hearing stories of how people’s lives are being impacted by Vision Radio. This is the seed you are sowing your money into! Wouldn’t you love to be part of more stories like Bek’s?
