Esther accidentally came across Vision Christian Radio 11 years ago during the May 2012 Visionathon. It was especially encouraging for Esther that she discovered Vision during a very difficult time in her life.

‘To hear the stories of encouragement and God’s Word spoken without any compromise and the songs was a real turning point in my faith journey,’ said Esther. ‘I had just had my third child, and we moved to a very remote place, so I didn’t know anyone. It was a very difficult time with two young children and a newborn with some challenges with sleep and health. So I was challenged in a number of ways. Sleep deprivation does that to people with other dynamics thrown in. And I was also in a very destructive relationship at the time. So it has helped me. It was God reaching through the airwaves then, and He hasn’t stopped 11 years later. He’s still doing the same thing for me and so many other people.’

Esther is facing a massive rent increase of almost $150 a week in about three weeks. With the cost of living rising, it’s been a stretch of Esther’s faith, yet she believes in Vision’s ministry and the value it brings to people all around Australia.

‘God has been faithful and always provided for myself and my four children. It’s just having faith that he’ll see us through the next step because I’ve also had some challenges in gaining enough employment and hours to cover what I need,’ said Esther. ‘So it’s just a matter of standing in the gap and trusting God and growing in my faith even more. He is faithful, and He’s my Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides.’

‘I think it’s really providential that Eric Skatebo has been talking about Arthur Stace and eternity because I literally thought this morning it’s an investment in eternity,’ said Esther. ‘We don’t know whose eternity we’re investing in by giving to Visionathon, but I think that’s something God put on my heart to share as well with listeners today. We’re giving it to God, and we know when it’s in God’s hands, miraculous things happen.’

Many people across Australia are dealing with increased living expenses that are causing anxiety and stress. But Vision brings peace in the storm as we help Australians look to God. We can get bogged down with things happening around us, but when we look to God daily through His Word, encouraging conversations, stories, daily devotions and music available 24/7 by listening to Vision, it helps us get through the tough times.
