Bruce joined us from Wondai in Queensland to make his donation to Visionathon, because he believes that Vision Radio makes such a difference in his local community.
Bruce also played a pivotal role in getting Vision’s Wondai station on the air over 10 years ago. There was a frequency overlap with another station in Murgon, but there has since been a frequency swap that has resulted in the coverage being immensely improved in the area.
Over the years, Bruce has been able to see the positive impact that Vision has had on his local community. ‘Since Wondai has come online,’ says Bruce, ‘the coverage has just spread. There’s quite good coverage across the area.’
For Bruce, it’s the quality of the content from Vision that motivates him to be a supporter of the ministry. ‘On Sunday mornings the teaching quality is great and there is just so much that’s available,’ he says. ‘I’m also really impressed by what Mandy does. Some of the subjects she touches on she does in such a beautifully sensitive way. Yet she maintains a good, sound scriptural base for it.’
Bruce believes that having quality Christian material available for people is just so important. ‘You just never know who’s listening,’ he says, ‘who’s got a car radio on or lying awake at night.’
‘God just reaches into places that perhaps human beings would never get into.’
