Peter from Ayr in Queensland is the pastor of Burdekin Community Church. Some of the members are so committed to listening to Vision Radio that they are known as the Vision Tragics.

Peter shared that he was particularly impacted by Neil Johnson’s 20Twenty program.

‘I love listening to Neil and the vital conversations around being Christians today in Australia,’ said Peter. ‘I love listening to Ken Legg, Jeff Vines, Tak Bhanna’s Running With Fire program, Focus on the Family and one of my favourites is Greg Laurie. I also love what Mandy brings around Israel because obviously, Israel is really important to the foundation of the faith.’

Peter also loves that Vision plays 100% Christian music, which they sometimes use for their worship service. While some pastors may see Vision as competing with their pastor’s role, others see Vision as having the ability to be available 24/7, something they can’t do, especially with larger congregations.

Vision can also reach remote communities that may not have a church or whose options are limited due to working shifts or travelling for work. And Vision caters to people of all ages and denominations.

Just like churches, it costs money to run Vision and keep spreading the Gospel to the four corners of Australia. It costs $1,000 to keep a high-powered Vision station running for a week.

We hand over our money for all sorts of things every day without giving it a second thought. It might be to buy a cup of coffee, put petrol in the car, or go out for lunch.
