For King & Country

For King & Country recently toured Australia for the first time ever.  Brothers Joel and Luke Smallbone were awestruck with the response from the thousands of Australians who sold out nearly every one of their shows.

They told Becci and Robbo, of Vision Christian Radio’s Rise & Shine program, that they weren’t sure anyone would show up.  “In kind of a humourous way, in the Bible it says that a prophet is never welcomed back in their home town,” Luke laughed. “I was thinking, is that the way it’s going to be for us? Not that we’re prophets, but are we going to be rejected?”

They have now released all three parts of their Australian tour documentary titled ‘Coming Home To Australia’.

The documentary features interviews while on the road, behind the scenes laughter with their family, getting up close and personal with Aussie wildlife and of course clips from their epic on-stage performances.

Of the documentary, they said: “As Australians now living in the USA, coming home for the very first time to play two shows at the Sydney Opera House was one of the most special opportunities we could ever imagine....and so we wanted to share the full experience with you.”

We hope that the incredible “koala bear hug” the boys were given by their home country means that it won’t be too long before we seeing them bring their tour Down Under again.
